Fuel changes with the flip of a switch
heatstarbyenerco.com
Nomad tent and construction heaters offer a variety of standard features that provide party, equipment and construction rental companies with user flexibility. All three models are dual fuel – natural gas and liquid propane – and the gas selection is made with a simple flip of a switch. Each one offers two heat settings allowing for rapid pre-heating on high and then fuel-efficient temperature maintenance while running on low. Nomads feature larger horsepower motors delivering higher cubic-feet-per-minute for excellent heat distribution. And the high limit switch is reset easily by simply turning the power off and then restarting the unit. No tools or mechanical aptitude are required to accomplish the task. Finally, Nomad accessories include a unique 30-inch transition duct as an option in addition to standard-length ducting and diffusers common to all brands. The HS115TC runs at 115,000 BTU on high and 80,000 BTU on low. The HS190TC operates at 190,000 BTU on high and 130,000 BTU on low. The HS250TC functions at 250,000 BTU on high and 175,000 BTU on low.

Cold-weather ducting
norseman.ca
People aren’t able to perform at their best when they’re cold. As the temperature drops, Norseman’s portable heat-ducting gear is more than up to the challenge of keeping teams warm. The top-of-the-line Arctic Helix High-Temp portable heat duct is designed to excel in ice, snow, sleet, and cold temperatures. Built with advanced fiberglass fabric with silicone coating on both sides and a stainless steel collar for a rust-free connection, the Arctic Helix HT is uncompromising when it comes to efficiency and durability, making it suitable for rental companies and their customers. Designed to prevent cracking and remain extremely pliable in cold climates, this duct’s fiberglass fabric is odor-free; mould, mildew and fire-resistant; and doesn’t freeze in sub-zero temperatures. The Arctic Helix HT also includes an FR Santoprene durable wear strip that provides another layer of protection no matter how much it’s pulled and dragged across the jobsite. The wire helix design of the Arctic Helix HT provides strong structure, allowing consistent air flow, and can be used in horizontal and vertical applications. The Arctic Helix HT is available with a pin-lock collar on one end and a belted-cuff collar on the other. It is a bi-directional duct, so it can be connected from either end. The Artic Helix HT has a 260 C temperature rating at the heat source and it passes FR testing to NFPA-701 and CAN/ULC-S109. Despite its heavy-duty construction, the Arctic Helix HT has integrated compression straps that assist with carrying and minimize storage space on rental shelves.

ces-sales.com
Construction Equipment Solutions continues to provide quality heating products as well as service parts and technical assistance to the Canadian rental industry. CES carries a complete line of heating products for all heating applications and fuel choices, including propane, natural gas, electric, and oil fired units. As well, it supplies units that are direct-fired, indirect-fired and infrared as well as convection. The Val 6 heaters are designed with the highest quality and dependability in mind. The Val 6 radiant heat is able to heat an object without heating the air and loosing efficiency at the same time. Val 6 heaters are not affected by wind or cold ambient temperatures the same way forced air heaters are. Not only are Val 6 heaters eco-friendly, releasing only one to two parts per million of carbon monoxide, but they are able to convert almost 100 per cent of their fuel to energy. This makes the Val 6 a very efficient form of heating. CES also offers the full line of Marley Engineered heating products. The TBX series mobile warmer comes in two sizes. The mobile warmers have a thermostat with a positive off and fan-only positions with a range from 40 to 100 Fahrenheit. Ten-inch wheels allow for easy rolling over obstacles on a job site to the spot where heat is required.

Huge ductability
campoequipment.com

Expands rental window
dryair.ca

Dryair has introduced the new D-CAN 25 2,500 CFM desiccant dehumidification attachment to its line of hydronic heating equipment. Utilizing a Dryair Greenthaw or central hydronic heating unit as the heat source for reactivation of the desiccant wheel, the D-CAN 25 can reduce fuel consumption by as much as 50 per cent compared to many conventional desiccant dehumidification systems. The system can deliver huge fuel savings and significantly reduce power requirements resulting in a much greener and economical alternative to desiccant drying. This new attachment also offers Dryair rental operators the opportunity to expand the utilization of their fleet of greenthaw and central hydronic heating units to a full 12 months out of the year.

Better ROI
questonthejob.com
Quest Construction Equipment has introduced the Quest PowerHeat 4500 delivering better ROI in two ways. The PowerHeat 4500 can be used with Quest hydronic accessories to do building heat, emergency heat and provide heat in many ways for the oil and gas and environmental industries. It can also accommodate up to 4,500 feet of hose to allow 9,000 square feet of thaw with no additional hose reels or booster pumps.

The onboard manifold system allows users to move the unit without having to pick up all the ground thaw hose. It also allows for multiple areas of thaw. The 500-foot loops allow the user to only pull the amount of hose needed for the job. The shorter loops also provide much better heat distribution during the job. The optional remote manifold allows users to do bridge decks without having to lift the unit into place. It also allows multiple areas of thaw or cure as well as temporary heat at the same time. With the stainless steel combustion chamber, there is no need for mixing booster pumps when doing concrete curing. Just dial down the aquastat and cure. The roll-up door will not freeze or break as the design allows the door to pivot back inside the unit.

Convenient power
heat-king.ca

Or it can be used to ground thaw or concrete cure with as many as 18 700-foot hoses. The Cube is available in diesel and LP/NG. With optional HX200 heat exchangers the Cube can space heat up to 1.4 million square feet, thaw 34,000 square feet of ground or cure 68,000 square feet of concrete. One person can set it up without special training. The rugged high-pressure custom hoses have self-sealing hydraulic fittings to minimize spills. A programmable logic controller requires minimal input from the operator to manage flow and temperatures. The Cube is built with multiple redundant safety systems. The unit interior can be accessed from all sides, with access to almost all internal elements from the front. It can be forklifted from either side or craned from the bottom.
